The Oscar Mayer Weenie Wagon came through Silverdale WA yesterday. Does anyone remember the Oscar Mayer whistles we used to have as kids? Boy, am I dating myself or what?

Great now I'm singing "Oh I wish I was an Oscar Meyer Weiner". At least it's a better tune that Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer....oh no Grandma got run over by the Oscar Meyer Weinermobile....make it stop.
I have seen Wiener Wagon toys (from the 1950s?) at antique toy shows.
Oh, as soon as I saw the title to this post I had to click on it. Lol! That picture is too funny!
I have never seen the weiner truck but what a sight it is! I'm in my 30s and still remember the tune. Something about singing it still bring a smile to my face and fond childhood memories.
I'd rather have that thing drive around the development then Santa, haha. My mom collected a bunch of the toy replicas ... cool shot!
Rich is that your new ride :) :) :)
That is a little bit of a change of pace from eating raw fish my Friend ....... LOL
Hi Rich... I rarely post links in comments, but here is one another perspective on the wienermobile! If you're not a fan of links in the comments of your posts, please feel free to delete.

Great photo! I remember the whistles.. had one right along with my decoder ring. Saw the wienermobile in Atlanta sometime last year. It's always fun.
I never saw this before! I can't believe such a thing exists. It has superb retro mid century lines.
Gracious Rich...
I have a million remarks for your weiny post but I'll refrain for the sake of your Readers :)
TLW...ROAR!
Rich,
1. Yes, you are dating yourself
2. Yes, I remember it, too, in Whittier California
3. Yes, I know the lyrics
4. Sara #10, so not nice to make us feel really old. On the other hand, maybe those of us who still know the lyrics ALSO have superb retro mid century lines.
I like weenies.... (I actually like the Costco ones better...with sauerkraut :)
Anyway, there was one of those here that banged into something...that didn't last long...small island lol
I relished my opportunity to ride in one. I thought it cut the mustard... but it couldn't ketchup to anything with power... But it did make me feel like a big cheese. And the air conditioner was so good I felt chili. I'd like to onion one day... (that went too far)...
Lane: You should get an 'Oscar' for that one!...
Wow! This brings back memories! I certainly remember the Oscar Meyer whistles. What a fun memory. Thanks for sharing.
This is totally hilarious! And this particular weiner wagon has a very sleek look, with the rounded windshield and extra windows - or are they all that way?
Rich,
I see that around town sometimes. My certifried assistant wants a miniature for Christmas.
It was all baloney... Or would that be b-o-l-o-g-n-a? Actually, I am just a ham... buy my wife will tell you I am a turkey.
Oh man, can you believe that I've ALWAYS missed this flippin' wagon! LOL I'm actually more jealous than anything. hahaha, Happy New Year!!!!
Every time...
That title pops into my email I start laughing. I'm beginning to think I need therapy. Maybe that's just what I'll do and send the bill to Jonathan :)
TLW...ROAR!
that is hysterical.. I have never seen anything like that... :)
I had no idea the weinermobiles were still in existence. They didn't have one at the San Diego International Auto Show this past week. What's with that? LOL
Gracious...
I'm still giggling. Maybe I should uncheck the box on this post :)
TLW...ROAR!
How neat. I didn't know these were still in existence either. I haven't seen one in years. :)
Thats awesome!! I think it needs to swing through Concord, NC!!
Oh no, those things are real??? I grew up in a town of 350 people and I guess that wasn't big enough for them to come calling.
O yes I remember the whistles. You know you live in a good place when the weiner mobile comes riding through :)
