More great collaboration amongst the giants of RE.net...Thanks Zillow & AR!
There are 13,000 of you who have an Active Rain blog AND active profiles on Zillow. As of today, and thru collaboration with the good folks at AR, you now have a link from your Zillow profile to your Active Rain blog! Just one more way people can find the great content so many of you produce.
If you have an active, PROFESSIONAL (not a regular user) account on Zillow, a link to your blog will automatically appear. But we didn't stop there, you can now also add your Twitter handle, a link to your Facebook profile and a link to your LinkedIn information.
I am really excited about this change because it is so important to tie everything you are doing socially, together on the web, to help build your online reputation.
Steps to edit/add your Profile:
1) If you don't already have an active account, here is a link to start building your free Zillow profile.
2) Log on to the site and go to your Profile. Click the Edit button.
3) Next, simply add your information in the respective fields.
4) And you are all done!
Big thanks to Active Rain for making this happen! Also, don't forget that you can include even more (followed) links within the marketing text of your profile. For example, link to some of your favorite or more helpful posts to drive even more traffic to them.

Hey Rich - This is awesome. Thanks for pointing it to me. Now, my Zillow profile will be somewhat active. It's hard to keep a blog here and there and all over the place.
Hi Rich,
Thank you for the wealth of information! Really appreciate all the sharing to make us more user friendly!
Thanks for the information Rich....done accept for the video I need to make for it.
Sounds like some great match-ups, all complimenting each other. I love the thinking behind all this! Thanks for letting us know.
Rich, I just signed up and it was very easy. Thanks for sharing with us. Let's see if it brings more traffic.
Rich - This is some great information and I do have a profile at Zillow. Problem is I was searching homes and leaving emails with agents connected to Zillow with no reply back, I have heard that Zillow has many listings that are many, many months old.
A little frustrating, I will check it out anyway and thanks!
VB ;o)
Aww. I was excited til I got to the "professional" profile part. I'm not paying them so they can get more exposure. I'm selfish like that =P I have 3 blogs... all free, and a VERY affordable web site that I really like. That's it. Not one more penny is coming from me. My content is giving them enough.
Rich,
You realtors have it made. We inspectors have to make do with what we got. I do not know that Zillow wants to hear from us.
Hello Rich, this is a great collaboration. I just stepped over to my FREE Professional Zillow profile and made my updates. Thanks! John
PS - Lisa, it is Free and Steve, they do have a box to check for Home Inspectors!
Rich:
I think this is a great idea, but right now I keep getting errors when trying to get into My Zillow.
The one thing I find rather annoying is how they handle listings - there are times, because of the feeds, that one listing will show up 2, 3 or 4 times with different days on market. I have even had things show up AFTER they were actually sold but they show as being new on the market. It's got to create a bad impression with conusmers...and it's been this way for a long time. Going in to delete these makes no sense to me.
I am glad to see they keep making changes and improvements, however. Wish they could get this fixed, however.
Jeff
That was simple enough, thanks for the walk through! I love this new feature.
Since consumers know about zillow and refer to it, we might as well help them and contribute good information.
Thanks for sharing that info. It took all of 20 seconds to update my zillow profile and help tie it all together.
